Abstract
A wound dressing is provided, comprising a wound facing layer an opposing backing layer and a layered, interior arrangement positioned therebetween. The interior arrangement comprises an absorbent core, an activated carbon containing layer and a zeolite containing layer.

A wound dressing comprising a liquid permeable wound facing layer, an opposing backing layer, and a layered, interior arrangement positioned therebetween, the interior arrangement including an absorbent core, an active carbon containing layer and a zeolite containing layer, wherein said active carbon containing layer and said zeolite containing layer are arranged between the absorbent core and the backing layer.
A method for the production of a wound dressing including a liquid permeable wound facing layer, an opposing backing layer, and a layered, interior arrangement positioned therebetween, the interior arrangement including an absorbent core, an active carbon containing layer and a zeolite containing layer, the method comprising the steps of
- positioning an absorbent core, an active carbon containing layer and a zeolite containing layer between a wound facing layer material, and a backing layer material;
- and
- joining the wound facing layer material to the backing layer material forming a seam encircling the absorbent core, active carbon containing layer and zeolite containing layer,
- wherein said active carbon containing layer and said zeolite containing layer are arranged between the absorbent core and the backing layer.
