Abstract
Methods, systems, and media for presenting contextually relevant information are provided. In some implementations, the method includes: receiving information associated with a user of a user device from multiple data sources, where the user device comprises a display; identifying, without user intervention, a relevant document based on the received information associated with the user of the user device; determining that a new browser window or a new browser tab has been opened by a browser application being executed by the user device; and causing, without user intervention, the relevant document to be presented using the new browser window or new browser tab.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- receiving information from a browser application;
- identifying a set of open browser tabs representing documents reflecting a common relationship based on the information, the common relationship including at least one of a common activity, a common task, common structure, or common subject matter;
- and
- in response to identifying the set:
- generating a label for the set of open browser tabs reflecting the common relationship, and
- presenting the documents as a group by arranging the tabs of the set to be adjacent to each other, and presenting a tab, which corresponds to the group, with the label in the browser application.
A computing device comprising:
- at least one processor;
- and
- a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing executable instructions that cause the at least one processor to:
- receive information from a browser application;
- identify a set of open browser tabs representing documents reflecting at least one of a common relationship based on the information, the common relationship including a common activity, a common task, common structure, or common subject matter;
- and
- in response to identifying the set:
- generate a label for the set of open browser tabs reflecting the common relationship, and
- present the documents as a group by arranging the tabs of the set to be adjacent to each other, and presenting a tab, which corresponds to the group, with the label in the browser application.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing executable instructions that when executed by at least one processor cause the at least one processor to execute operations, the operations comprising:
- receiving information from a browser application;
- identifying a set of open browser tabs representing documents reflecting at least one of a common relationship based on the information, the common relationship including a common activity, a common task, common structure, or common subject matter;
- and
- in response to identifying the set:
- generating a label for the set of open browser tabs reflecting the common relationship, and
- presenting the documents as a group by arranging the tabs of the set to be adjacent to each other, and presenting a tab, which corresponds to the group, with the label in the browser application.
