Abstract
A thermoluminescence sensor includes a thermo-responsive polymer composition, and a sealed transparent container that holds the thermo-responsive polymer composition. The thermo-responsive polymer composition contains a curcumin oil, and a cyano derivative of poly(phenylenevinylene) of formula (I).
Claims15
A thermo-optical measuring method employing a thermo-optical analysis system, comprising:
- determining a temperature of an object with the thermo-optical analysis system by placing the object in thermal communication with a heat transfer plate of the thermo-optical analysis system and correlating an emission intensity with the temperature;
- wherein the thermo-optical analysis system comprises a thermoluminescence sensor comprising:
- a thermo-responsive polymer composition, and
- a sealed transparent container for the thermo-responsive polymer composition, wherein the thermo-responsive polymer composition takes up more than 90 vol % of an inner space of the sealed transparent container;
- a photomultiplier tube (PMT) operatively configured to the thermoluminescence sensor;
- the heat transfer plate in thermal communication with the thermoluminescence sensor;
- wherein the heat transfer plate is configured to transfer thermal energy between a thermal source and the thermoluminescence sensor;
- wherein the thermo-responsive polymer composition comprises:
- a curcumin oil;
- a cyano derivative of poly(phenylenevinylene) of formula (I)
- wherein at least a portion of the cyano derivative of poly(phenylenevinylene) is in the form of an exciplex with the curcumin oil, wherein the exciplex has formula (II)
- wherein R1, R2, R3, and R4 are each independently selected from the group consisting of C1-C9 alkyl, C1-C9 alkenyl, C2-C9 alkynyl, C1-C6 alkyloxy-C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 alkylthio-C1-C6 alkyl, and C1-C6 alkylamino-C1-C6 alkyl, wherein each of the carbon-containing radicals is optionally substituted with one or more halogen atoms, and wherein n is a positive integer.
