Abstract
The invention relates synthetic silicate granules comprising a mixture of SiO2, Al2O3, Na2O and CaO, which can be obtained by sintering; to their use in manufacturing an agglomerate stone material and to the agglomerate stone material resulting thereof.
Claims19
Artificial agglomerate stone material comprising inorganic fillers and a hardened binder, wherein the inorganic fillers comprise synthetic ceramic silicate granules comprising:
- 57.00-66.50 wt. % of SiO2,
- 17.00-23.00 wt. % of Al2O3,
- 7.90-10.50 wt. % of Na2O, and
- 2.50-12.80 wt. % of CaO,
- based on the weight of the synthetic ceramic silicate granules,
- wherein an amount of crystalline phases in the synthetic ceramic silicate granules is 0.5-10.0 wt. % of the weight of the granules,
- and wherein the binder is an organic resin.
