Abstract
Devices, systems, and their methods of use, for sorting or separating magnetic particles are provided. A magnetic source is disposed adjacent a flow path and exerts a magnetic field on magnetic particles in order to separate particles.
Claims18
A device for magnetic separation comprising:
- (a) a housing comprising a microfluidic flow path comprising an inlet and an outlet, wherein the flow path comprises a plurality of channels disposed laterally in the flow path and connected laterally in fluid communication with each other, wherein a height of the plurality of channels is greater than a height of the lateral connection;
- and
- (b) a first magnetic source disposed adjacent to the flow path.
