Abstract
The present invention provides a functionally dry warm mix asphalt binder composition modified with lubricating agents or additives that can be mixed with aggregate and compacted at temperatures substantially below asphalt binder compositions that do not contain the disclosed lubricating additives.

An asphalt paving composition comprising an aggregate and a functionally dry, warm mix asphalt binder composition coating the aggregate, said functionally dry, warm mix asphalt binder composition comprising an asphalt binder, an antistrip additive, and one or more lubricating additives selected from a lubricating surfactant, a lubricating non-surfactant, a lubricating acid or combination thereof.
