Abstract
A self-correcting secure computer system is provided. The computer system includes a read-only memory (ROM) device, a random access memory (RAM) device, and at least one processor in communication with the ROM device and the RAM device. The at least one processor is programmed to receive an activation signal; retrieve, from the ROM device, data to execute an operating system; execute, on the RAM device, the operating system based on the data from the ROM device; receive a clear RAM signal; end execution of the operating system on the RAM device; and depower the RAM device such that all data on the RAM device is deleted.
Claims24
A system comprising:
- a self-correcting secure computer system comprising:
- a read-only memory (ROM) device;
- a first random access memory (RAM) device;
- a second RAM device;
- and
- at least one processor in communication with the ROM device and the first RAM device, and the second RAM device, the at least one processor programmed to:
- execute, on the first RAM device, a first operating system based on data from the ROM device;
- execute, on the second RAM device, a second operating system based on data from the ROM device;
- detect an event of the second operating system;
- reboot the second operating system in response to the event;
- load the second operating system from the ROM device into the second RAM device;
- and
- execute the second operating system on the second RAM device.
A system comprising:
- a first self-correcting secure computer system comprising:
- a read-only memory (ROM) device;
- a first random access memory (RAM) device;
- and
- at least one processor in communication with the ROM device and the first RAM device, where the at least one processor is programmed to execute, on the first RAM device, a first operating system based on data from the ROM device;
- and
- a second self-correcting secure computer system comprising:
- a second RAM device;
- and
- a processor in communication with the second RAM device and the first self-correcting secure computer system, wherein the processor is programmed to execute, on the second RAM device, a second operating system;
- wherein the at least one processor of the first self-correcting secure computer system is further programmed to:
- detect an event of the second operating system;
- instruct the processor of the second self-correcting secure computer system to reboot the second operating system in response to the event;
- receive a plurality of signals from one or more sensors, wherein the one or more sensors are associated with a device;
- determine one or more conditions of the device based on the plurality of signals from the one or more sensors;
- and
- detect the event based on the one or more conditions of the device.
A system comprising:
- a self-correcting secure computer system comprising:
- a read-only memory (ROM) device;
- a first random access memory (RAM) device;
- a second RAM device;
- and
- at least one processor in communication with the ROM device and the first RAM device, and the second RAM device, the at least one processor programmed to:
- execute, on the first RAM device, a first operating system based on data from the ROM device;
- execute, on the second RAM device, a second operating system based on data from the ROM device;
- detect an event of the second operating system;
- reboot the second operating system in response to the event;
- perform one or more tests to determine whether to begin execution of the second operating system on the second RAM device;
- and
- delay execution of the second operating system on the second RAM device based on the one or more tests.
