Described herein are durable coatings, i.e. for medical devices, and methods of forming the coatings.
Claims22
A method of accessing a lumen of a subject, comprising inserting a medical device into the subject, the medical device including a surface on which a coating is disposed,
- wherein the coating comprises a base coat and a top coat covalently linked to the base coat, wherein the base coat includes an alkylsilanyl moiety, and the top coat includes a polymeric moiety having an amine moiety, wherein the coating is about 100 nanometers thick or less.
