Abstract
The present disclosure generally relates to controlling access to resources by selectively processing requests stored in a task queue to prioritize certain requests over others, thereby preventing automated scripts from accessing the resources. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to a normalization and prioritization system for controlling access to resources by queuing resource requests based on a client-defined normalization process that uses one or more data sources.
Claims20
A method for managing user access to a digital resource across multiple devices, comprising:
- generating a user interface with authentication capabilities to facilitate user access to the digital resource;
- collecting device-specific parameters from each user device upon user interaction;
- supplementing collected parameters with additional device-related information sourced from diverse data sources;
- querying the data sources to determine device information, wherein user login status is determined based on the device information;
- initiating a reduction in a number of user parameters upon detection of a logged-out state;
- receiving user parameters within a normalization system for generating normalized parameters based on received data;
- assigning a queue position within a digital queue to each user device based on its identifier and normalized parameters, reflecting an order of devices awaiting interface access;
- updating normalized parameters based on user login status;
- and
- reordering queue positions within the digital queue for each device based on the updated normalized parameters.
A system for managing user access to a digital resource across multiple devices, the system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium containing instructions which, when executed on the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations including:
- generating a user interface with authentication capabilities to facilitate user access to the digital resource;
- collecting device-specific parameters from each user device upon user interaction;
- supplementing collected parameters with additional device-related information sourced from diverse data sources;
- querying the data sources to determine device information, wherein the device information enables in determination of user login status;
- initiating a reduction in a number of user parameters upon detection of a logged-out state;
- receiving user parameters within a normalization system for generating normalized parameters based on received data;
- assigning a queue position within a digital queue to each user device based on its identifier and normalized parameters, reflecting an order of devices awaiting interface access;
- updating normalized parameters based on user login status;
- and
- reordering queue positions within the digital queue for each device based on the updated normalized parameters.
A computer-program product tangibly embodied in a non-transitory machine-readable storage medium, including instructions configured to a cause a processing apparatus to perform operations including:
- generating a user interface with authentication capabilities to facilitate user access to a digital resource;
- collecting device-specific parameters from each user device upon user interaction;
- supplementing collected parameters with additional device-related information sourced from diverse data sources;
- querying the data sources to determine device information, wherein the device information enables in determination of user login status;
- initiating a reduction in a number of user parameters upon detection of a logged-out state;
- receiving user parameters within a normalization system for generating normalized parameters based on received data;
- assigning a queue position within a digital queue to each user device based on its identifier and normalized parameters, reflecting an order of devices awaiting interface access;
- updating normalized parameters based on user login status;
- and
- reordering queue positions within the digital queue for each device based on the updated normalized parameters.
