Abstract
Provided is a chemical injection system for connection to a chemical tank and a process line. The system includes a pump box configured to attach to the tank, the pump box including a body defining an interior, a pump assembly disposed within the interior of the body of the pump box, and an injection assembly configured to be fluidly coupled to the pump box. The injection assembly includes an injection lance having a flange and a stem, a first seal abutting a first side of the flange of the injection lance, and a second seal abutting a second side of the flange of the injection lance.
Claims20
A valve assembly for a chemical injection system, the valve assembly comprising:
- a housing having a first side, a second side opposite the first side, and a bottom;
- a first hose barb coupled to the first side of the housing for coupling to a first outer conduit;
- a first connector concentric with the first hose barb for coupling to a first inner conduit concentric with the first outer conduit, the second connector being coupled to a first valve conduit;
- a second hose barb coupled to the second side of the housing for coupling to a second outer conduit;
- a second connector concentric with the second hose barb for coupling to a second inner conduit concentric with the second outer conduit, the second connector being coupled to a second valve conduit;
- and
- a first ball valve coupled to the bottom of the housing, the first ball valve including a lever for opening and closing the ball valve to drain leaked fluid in the housing.
An injection system comprising:
- a conduit assembly configured to contain flowing fluid;
- a lance assembly coupled to the conduit assembly;
- and
- a valve assembly coupled to the lance assembly via the conduit assembly, the valve assembly including:
- a housing;
- a first ball valve coupled to the housing, the first ball valve including a lever for opening and closing the ball valve to drain leaked fluid in the housing;
- a second ball valve disposed in the housing and fluidly coupled between a pump box and the lance assembly and configured to be closed for maintenance to the injection system;
- and
- a check valve disposed in the housing and fluidly coupled between the pump box and lance assembly and configured to prevent back flow to the pump box.
A valve assembly for a chemical injection system, the valve assembly comprising:
- a housing having a first side, a second side opposite the first side, and a bottom;
- a first hose barb coupled to the first side of the housing for coupling to a first outer conduit;
- a second hose barb coupled to the second side of the housing for coupling to a second outer conduit;
- a first ball valve coupled to the bottom of the housing, the first ball valve including a lever for opening and closing the ball valve to drain leaked fluid in the housing;
- a second ball valve disposed in the housing;
- and
- a check valve disposed in the housing fluidly coupled to the second ball valve.
