Abstract
A disulfiram derivative of formula (I) wherein R1 and R2 are independently —CH2CH2COOH, —CH2CH2COOEt, optionally substituted methylenepyridyl, optionally substituted methylenefuranyl, or optionally substituted methylenethiopenyl, may be useful in aldehyde dehydrogenase 1a1 (ALDH1a1) and/or monoacylglycerol lipase (MAGL)-mediated diseases or disorders. Such derivatives may avoid or limit aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 (ALDH2) and/or fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) antagonism.
Claims14
A disulfiram derivative of formula (I),
- optionally as a salt, solvate, tautomer, stereoisomer, or mixture thereof,
- wherein R1 and R2 are independently CH2CH2COOEt, methylenepyridyl, or methylenefuranyl.
A pharmaceutical composition, comprising:
- a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and/or excipient;
- and
- a disulfiram derivative of formula (I):
- optionally as a salt, solvate, tautomer, stereoisomer, or mixture thereof, in a range of from 0.01 to 20 wt. %, based on total pharmaceutical composition weight calculated as the free, non-solvated form,
- wherein R1 is-CH2CH2COOEt, methylenepyridyl, or methylenefuranyl, and
- wherein R2 are independently-CH2CH2COOH, —CH2CH2COOEt, methylenepyridyl, methylenethiophenyl, or methylenefuranyl,
- wherein the pharmaceutical composition is configured for oral or parenteral administration in treating an aldehyde dehydrogenase 1a1 and/or monoacylglycerol lipase-mediated disease or disorder.
