A method for treatment or amelioration of infection with K. pneumoniae, comprising administering to an individual in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a monoclonal antibody, which specifically binds to a polypeptide consisting of
- a) an amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO:
- 25, or
- b) an amino acid sequence, which is a fragment of SEQ ID NO:
- 25 consisting of residues 35-790 or residues 450-790 or residues 35-450,
- wherein, the monoclonal antibody is obtained by immunizing an animal with a protein comprising SEQ ID NO:25 or residues 35-790 or residues 450-790 of SEQ ID NO:25, isolating B-cells that bind SEQ ID NO:
- 25 or residues 35-790 or residues 450-790 of SEQ ID NO:25 from the animal, and using said B-cells in the production of the monoclonal antibody, which in useful in conferring passive immunity against K. pneumoniae in the individual.
A method for prophylaxis, treatment or amelioration of infection with K. pneumoniae, comprising administering to an individual in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of an antibody analogue, which specifically binds to a polypeptide consisting of
- a) an amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO:
- 25, or
- b) an amino acid sequence, which is a fragment of SEQ ID NO:
- 25 consisting of residues 35-790 or residues 450-790 or residues 35-450, wherein the antibody analogue is selected from an Fab or an F(ab′)2, and an scFV,
- wherein, the antibody analogue is obtained by immunizing an animal with a protein comprising SEQ ID NO:25 or residues 35-790 or residues 450-790 of SEQ ID NO:25, isolating B-cells that bind SEQ ID NO:
- 25 or residues 35-790 or residues 450-790 of SEQ ID NO:25 from the animal, and using said B-cells in the production of the antibody analogue, which in useful in conferring passive immunity against K. pneumoniae in the individual.
A method for treatment or amelioration of infection with K. pneumoniae in an individual in need thereof, comprising effecting, in the individual, that a therapeutically effective amount of antibodies binds to pneumoniae protein, wherein the antibodies have been induced by a polypeptide constituted by residues 35-790 in SEQ ID NO:
- 25 or residues 450-790 in SEQ ID NO:
- 25 or residues 35-450 in SEQ ID NO:
- 25, wherein, the antibodies are obtained by immunizing an animal with a protein comprising SEQ ID NO:25 or residues 35-790 or residues 450-790 of SEQ ID NO:25, isolating B-cells or antibodies that bind SEO ID NO:
- 25 or residues 35-790 or residues 450-790 of SEQ ID NO:25 from the animal, and either using said B-cells in the production of the antibodies or using the antibodies isolated, where said antibodies are useful in conferring passive immunity against K. pneumoniae in the individual.
Method for treatment amelioration of infection with K. pneumoniae in an individual in need thereof, comprising effecting, in the individual, that therapeutically effective amount of monoclonal antibodies binds to pneumoniae protein, wherein the monoclonal antibodies have been induced by a polypeptide constituted by residues 35-790 in SEQ ID NO:
- 25 or residues 450-790 in SEQ ID NO:
- 25 or residues 35-450 in SEQ ID NO:
- 25.
A method for treatment or amelioration of infection with K pneumoniae, comprising administering to an individual in need thereof, a pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of monoclonal antibodies that bind to K. pneumoniae protein, wherein the monoclonal antibodies have been induced by a polypeptide consisting of amino acid sequence SEQ ID NO:
- 25, a polypeptide constituted by residues 35-790 in SEQ ID NO:
- 25, a polypeptide constituted by residues 450-790 in SEQ ID NO:
- 25, or a polypeptide constituted by residues 35-450 in SEQ ID NO:
- 25, an immunological adjuvant, and optionally a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein, the monoclonal antibody is obtained by immunizing an animal with a protein comprising SEQ ID NO:25 or residues 35-790 or residues 450-790 or residues 35-450 of SEQ ID NO:25, isolating B-cells that bind SEQ ID NO:
- 25 or residues 35-790 or residues 450-790 or residues 35-450 of SEQ ID NO:25 from the animal, and using said B-cells in the production of the monoclonal antibody, which is useful in conferring passive immunity against K. pneumoniae in the individual.
