## Abstract

Disclosed are systems and methods for providing distributed security event monitoring. The system can include a central monitoring system and sensor devices positioned throughout a premises that passively detect conditions and emit signals guiding people on the premises when a security event is detected. The sensor devices can include suites of sensors and can transmit detected conditions to the central monitoring system. The central monitoring system can combine the detected conditions to generate a collective of detected conditions, determine whether the collective of detected conditions exceeds expected threshold conditions, identify a security event on the premises based on the collective of detected conditions, classify the security event using machine learning models, generate instructions to produce audio or visual output at the sensor devices that notifies people on the premises about the security event, and transmit the instructions to the sensor devices to emit signals indicating information about the security event.

detect an emergency in the building based on processing the continuously received signals using a machine learning model that was trained to correlate the continuously received signals with each other and with known types of emergencies;
generate visual output based on the detected emergency, wherein the visual output comprises augmented reality (AR) interaction with a user in the building;
transmit instructions for presenting the visual output to at least one sensor device of the plurality of sensor devices, wherein the at least one sensor device is configured to execute the instructions and present the visual output to the user in the building;
receive, from the at least one sensor device, audio input indicating a response of the user to the visual output;
generate updated visual output based on (i) the detected emergency and (ii) the audio input indicating the response of the user to the visual output; and
transmit instructions for presenting the updated visual output at the at least one sensor device.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein presenting, by the at least one sensor device, the visual output to the user in the building with AR interaction comprises projecting visualizations on a surface proximate the user depicting a current state of the building.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The system of claim 2, wherein the visualizations comprise images that were captured by other sensor devices amongst the plurality of sensor devices positioned throughout the building.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the computer system is configured to:
process the audio input to determine an emotions indicator for the user;
determine, based on a determination that the emotions indicator for the user satisfies one or more criteria, that the user is experiencing at least a threshold level of concern for their safety;
generate additional output for presentation to the user based on the user experiencing at least the threshold level of concern for their safety; and
transmit instructions for presenting the additional output to the user at the at least one sensor device.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The system of claim 5, wherein the additional output comprises step-by-step instructions to guide the user from a current location in the building to a location of safety, wherein the step-by-step instructions avoid a location of the detected emergency.

### Claim 7 (depends on 5)

The system of claim 5, wherein the computer system is further configured to generate and transmit, in response to the user experiencing at least the threshold level of concern for their safety, a notification to an emergency personnel device, wherein the notification comprises information about the detected emergency and the emotional indicator for the user.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the computer system is further configured to classify the emergency as a particular type of emergency amongst the known types of emergencies using the machine learning model.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein classifying the emergency further comprises determining a severity level of the emergency.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein:
