## Abstract

An information handling system includes a processor and a memory. The processor receives a set of validation items to be validated for each of a plurality of platforms of a portfolio of platforms. The processor further determines that a first set of validation items for a first platform includes a first validation item and that a second set of validation items for a second platform includes a second validation item. The processor compares the first validation item with the second validation item to determine if the first and second validation items are duplicate validation items. When the first and second validations are duplicate validation items, the processor maintains the first set of validation items to include the first validation item, and modifies the second set of validation items to exclude the second validation item.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An information handling system, comprising:
a hardware processor to execute code; and
a memory to store the code;
wherein the processor is configured to execute the code to:
receive, for each of a plurality of platforms of a portfolio of platforms, a set of validation items to be validated on that particular platform;
determine that a first set of validation items for a first platform includes a first validation item, wherein the first set of validation items includes a first number of validation items;
determine that a second set of validation items for a second platform includes a second validation item, wherein the second set of validation items includes a second number of validation items, the second number of validation items being less than the first number of validation items;
compare the first validation item with the second validation item to determine if the first and second validation items are duplicate validation items; and
when the first and second validation items are duplicate validation items, modify the first set of validation items to exclude the first validation item, and maintain the second set of validation items to include the second validation item based upon the second number of validation items being less than the first number of validation items.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The information handling system of claim 1, wherein in modifying the first set of validation items to exclude the first validation item and maintaining the second set of validation items to include the second validation item, the processor is further configured to:
determine that a completion of the first validation item is prior to a schedule for the second validation item, wherein modifying the first set of validation items to exclude the first validation item and maintaining the second set of validation items to include the second validation item is in response to determining that the completion is prior to the schedule.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The information handling system of claim 1, wherein in modifying the first set of validation items to exclude the first validation item and maintaining the second set of validation items to include the second validation item, the processor is further configured to:
determine that the first validation item is completed and experienced a negative outcome, wherein modifying the first set of validation items to exclude the first validation item and maintaining the second set of validation items to include the second validation item is in response to determining that the first validation item is completed and experienced the negative outcome.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The information handling system of claim 1, further comprising:
a display configured to show the first set of validation items and the second set of validation items.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The information handling system of claim 4, wherein the display is further configured to show that the first validation and the second validation items are duplicate validation items.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The information handling system of claim 5, wherein the display is further configured to show that the first set of validation items excludes the first validation item.

### Claim 7 (depends on 5)

The information handling system of claim 5, wherein the display is further configured to show that the second set of validation items maintains the second validation item.

### Claim 8

A method, comprising:
receiving, by a hardware processor of an information handling system, a set of validation items to be validated on that particular platform for each of a plurality of platforms of a portfolio of platforms;
determining that a first set of validation items for a first platform includes a first validation item, wherein the first set of validation items includes a first number of validation items;
determining that a second set of validation items for a second platform includes a second validation item, wherein the second set of validation items includes a second number of validation items, the second number of validation items being less than the first number of validation items;
comparing the first validation item with the second validation item to determine if the first and second validation items are duplicate validation items; and
when the first and second validations are duplicate validation items, and based upon the second number of validation items being less than the first number of validation items:
modifying the first set of validation items to exclude the first validation item; and
maintaining the second set of validation items to include the second validation item.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8, wherein in modifying the first set of validation items to exclude the first validation item and maintaining the second set of validation items to include the second validation item, the method further comprises:
determining that a completion of the first validation item is prior to a schedule for the second validation item, wherein modifying the first set of validation items to exclude the first validation item and maintaining the second set of validation items to include the second validation item is in response to determining that the completion is prior to the schedule.

### Claim 10 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8, wherein in modifying the first set of validation items to exclude the first validation item and maintaining the second set of validation items to include the second validation item, the method further comprises:
determining that the first validation item is completed and experienced a negative outcome, wherein modifying the first set of validation items to exclude the first validation item and maintaining the second set of validation items to include the second validation item is in response to determining that the first validation item is completed and experienced the negative outcome.

### Claim 11 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8, further comprising:
displaying the first set of validation items and the second set of validation items on a display of the information handling system.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The method of claim 11, further comprising;
showing, on the display, that the first validation and the second validation items are duplicate validation items.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The method of claim 12, further comprising:
showing that the first set of validation items excludes the first validation item, and that the second set of validation items maintains the second validation item.

### Claim 14

A portfolio validation management system, comprising:
a hardware processor to execute code; and
a memory to store the code;
wherein the processor is configured to execute the code to:
receive, for each of a plurality of information handling systems of a portfolio of information handling systems, a set of validation items to be validated on that particular information handling system;
determine that a first set of validation items for a first information handling system includes a first validation item, wherein the first set of validation items includes a first number of validation items;
determine that a second set of validation items for a second information handling system includes a second validation item, wherein the second set of validation items includes a second number of validation items, the second number of validation items being less than the first number of validation items;
