## Abstract

A method that includes receiving, from one or more motion sensors in a device, data describing a signature arc in three-dimensional space, the signature arc having been generated by gesturing using the device; identifying, from the data describing the gestured signature arc, a plurality of points that correspond to the gestured signature arc in three-dimensional space; generating a curve along the identified plurality of points corresponding to the gestured signature arc; generating a two-dimensional representation of the gestured signature arc; and displaying, on a display screen, the generated two-dimensional representation of the gestured signature arc.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method of movement-based input, the method comprising:
identifying, based on sensor data from at least one sensor, a plurality of points along a movement are in a three-dimensional space;
generating a curve in the three-dimensional space, wherein the curve runs along the plurality of points;
projecting the curve onto a plane from a perspective to generate a two-dimensional representation of the curve, wherein the plane is oriented based on a direction in which the curve progresses; and
transmitting information corresponding to the two-dimensional representation of the curve to a payment service system to cause the payment service system to progress a transaction based on the information.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the at least one sensor includes a camera, and wherein the sensor data includes image data captured using the camera.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the at least one sensor includes a motion sensor, and wherein the sensor data includes motion data captured using the motion sensor.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the at least one sensor includes an infrared (IR) sensor, and wherein the sensor data includes IR data captured using the IR sensor.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
tracking a pattern of features within the sensor data to identify the plurality of points along the movement arc in the three-dimensional space.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
tracking a gesture using the sensor data to identify the plurality of points along the movement arc in the three-dimensional space.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
tracking a finger using the sensor data to identify the plurality of points along the movement arc in the three-dimensional space.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
tracking a hand-held device using the sensor data to identify the plurality of points along the movement arc in the three-dimensional space.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
identifying a signature within the two-dimensional representation of the curve, wherein the information corresponding to the two-dimensional representation of the curve includes the signature.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
identifying at least one character within the two-dimensional representation of the curve, wherein the information corresponding to the two-dimensional representation of the curve includes the at least one character.

### Claim 11 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
facilitating transfer of funds between a first account and a second account to cause the payment service system to progress the transaction.

### Claim 12

A system of movement-based input, the system comprising:
at least one memory; and
