## Abstract

A golf club head includes a body and an insert. The body defines a top side, a toe side, and a heel side, and includes a sole extending between the toe side and the heel side at a location on the body opposite to the top side. The body defines an internal volume defined between a ball-striking face and an internal wall. The insert is arranged within the internal volume and is formed layer by layer via an additive manufacturing process. The insert includes a lattice structure arranged between a rear surface of the ball-striking face and the internal wall. The lattice structure is in engagement with the rear surface and formed integrally with the ball-striking face and the internal wall.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A golf club head, comprising:
a metal body comprising a front wall, a crown, and a sole side, and a front opening in the front wall, wherein an aperture is formed in an exterior surface of the body at a location that is adjacent a heel side;
a metal face component secured to the body within the front opening; and
a lattice structure that comprises a plurality of geometric cells forming voids, wherein the plurality of geometric cells vary across at least a portion of the lattice structure,
wherein the lattice structure comprises a plurality of beams that vary in at least two of a length, a thickness, a shape, or a size,
wherein at least a portion of the lattice structure extends from the sole side and the front wall, wherein the lattice structure is at least partially positioned between the location of the aperture and the sole side and the lattice structure extends rearwardly, in a front-back direction, beyond the location of the aperture, and
wherein the lattice structure is secured to the body.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The golf club head of claim 1, wherein the lattice structure comprises a binder jet printed component.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The golf club head of claim 1, wherein the lattice structure comprises a non-metal material.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The golf club head of claim 1, wherein the lattice structure is composed of a metal material.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The golf club head of claim 1, wherein the lattice structure is integrally formed with an insert that is secured within an interior volume of the body.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The golf club head of claim 1, wherein the lattice structure is integrally formed with the face component.

### Claim 7

A golf club head, comprising:
a metal body comprising a front wall, a crown, and a sole side, and a front opening in the front wall, wherein an aperture is formed in an exterior surface of the body at a location that is adjacent a heel side;
a metal face component secured to the body within the front opening; and
a lattice structure that comprises a plurality of geometric cells forming voids, wherein the plurality of geometric cells vary across at least a portion of the lattice structure,
wherein the lattice structure comprises a plurality of beams that vary in at least two of a length, a thickness, a shape, or a size,
wherein at least a portion of the lattice structure extends from the sole side and the front wall, wherein the lattice structure is at least partially positioned between the location of the aperture and the sole side and the lattice structure extends rearwardly, in a front-back direction, beyond the location of the aperture, and
wherein the lattice structure is secured to the face component.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The golf club head of claim 7, wherein the lattice structure comprises a binder jet printed component.

### Claim 9 (depends on 7)

The golf club head of claim 7, wherein the lattice structure comprises a non-metal material.

### Claim 10 (depends on 7)

The golf club head of claim 7, wherein the lattice structure is composed of a metal material.

### Claim 11 (depends on 7)

The golf club head of claim 7, wherein the lattice structure is integrally formed with an insert that is secured within an interior volume of the body.

### Claim 12 (depends on 7)

The golf club head of claim 7, wherein the lattice structure is integrally formed with the body.
