## Abstract

The present specification provides methods and compositions for treating fibrosis, particularly pulmonary fibrosis. The pulmonary fibrosis may be idiopathic or arise following an infection of the lung. The lung infection can be by SARS-COV-2. Lung function stabilizes or is improved as a result of treatment.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method of treating idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, the method comprising administering a dose of taladegib, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to a subject in need thereof, wherein the dose of taladegib is selected from a dose in the range of 50 mg to 200 mg.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the dose of taladegib is selected from a dose in the range of 125 mg to 200 mg.

### Claim 3

A method of treating idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, the method comprising administering a dose of taladegib, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to a subject in need thereof, wherein the dose of taladegib is selected from a dose in the range of 100 mg to 300 mg.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The method according to claim 3, wherein the dose of taladegib is selected from a dose in the range of 100 to 300 mg/day.

### Claim 5

A method of treating idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, the method comprising administering a dose of taladegib, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to a subject in need thereof, wherein the dose of taladegib is selected from 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, and 400 mg.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The method according to claim 5, wherein the dose of taladegib is 50 mg.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The method according to claim 6, wherein the dose of taladegib is 50 mg/day.

### Claim 8 (depends on 5)

The method according to claim 5, wherein the dose of taladegib is 100 mg.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The method according to claim 8, wherein the dose of taladegib is 100 mg/day.

### Claim 10 (depends on 5)

The method according to claim 5, wherein the dose of taladegib is 200 mg.

The method according to claim 10, wherein the dose of taladegib is 200 mg/day.

### Claim 12 (depends on 5)

The method according to claim 5, wherein the dose of taladegib is administered once a day.

### Claim 13 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the dose of taladegib is effective for slowing or halting progression of the idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

### Claim 14 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the dose of taladegib is effective for reducing impairment due to the idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

### Claim 15 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein the dose of taladegib is effective for reversing impairment due to the idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

### Claim 16 (depends on 5)

The method according to claim 5, wherein the dose of taladegib is effective for slowing or halting progression of the idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

### Claim 17 (depends on 5)

The method according to claim 5, wherein the dose of taladegib is effective for reducing impairment due to the idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

### Claim 18 (depends on 5)

The method according to claim 5, wherein the dose of taladegib is effective for reversing impairment due to the idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

### Claim 19 (depends on 1)

The method according to claim 1, wherein taladegib is administered in the form of a pharmaceutical composition.

### Claim 20 (depends on 19)

The method according to claim 19, wherein the pharmaceutical composition comprises a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, diluent, or excipient.
