Feeding mechanism and method for toy projectile launcher

A toy launcher comprising:

• a housing;
• a storage cartridge configured for placement into an opening of the housing, with projectiles within the storage cartridge held in a first orientation in which a longitudinal axis of each projectile is perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the housing;
• a cocking slide movably attached to the housing between a first position and a second position;
• a reciprocating frame operatively connected to the cocking slide;
• a projectile housing pivotably attached to the toy launcher housing adjacent to the storage cartridge;
• and
• a feed lever operatively connected to the reciprocating frame, whereby movement of the cocking slide from the first position to the second position in a first priming step and then back to the first position in a second priming step causes the feed lever to move below a projectile from the storage cartridge and then push the projectile from the storage cartridge into the projectile housing, pivots the projectile housing so that the projectile is in a second orientation in which the longitudinal axis of the projectile is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the housing, and places the projectile in the second orientation at a firing position within the toy launcher.
