A pistol comprising:
- at least one barrel in alignment with at least one associated chamber configured to receive a firearm cartridge;
- a first trigger configured to be operated by a user which, when pulled rearwards, releases the at least one barrel to open the at least one associated chamber to remove a spent firearm cartridge or to receive an unspent firearm cartridge;
- a second trigger configured to be operated by a user which, when pulled rearwards, performs an double action operation to cock and release a firing pin to fire a firearm cartridge in the at least one chamber;
- and
- a frame carrying the at least one barrel, the first trigger, and the second trigger, and defining a cavity within the frame carrying a hammer set and the firing pin;
- wherein the first trigger and the second trigger are aligned with each other wherein the first trigger forms a portion of a trigger guard for the second trigger.
