Method and apparatus for an end seal for increasing efficiency of a submersible multistage labyrinth-screw pump

A pump comprising:

• a submersible multi-stage labyrinth screw pump;
• a rotor shaft inside of the submersible multi-stage labyrinth screw pump;
• an end seal for the rotor shaft;
• an axial unloading unit integrated into the end seal of the rotor shaft, the axial unloading unit comprising:
• a thrust block having a wear-resistant insert and a thrust collar, mated with a segment of the end seal;
• an end seal housing containing the end seal;
• a spring, a thrust ring, and a seat sleeve of the end seal, wherein the end seal of the rotor shaft's axial unloading unit operates as follows, when high pressure appears in a chamber of the rotor shaft's axial unloading unit, fluid is kept from unproductive flows by a hermetic contact of a ground insert of the segment of the end seal and a seat of the end seal, with the hermetic contact being maintained by a constant force of the spring when the rotor shaft of the pump rotates, wherein the end seal seals off the chamber of the axial unloading unit is achieved, significantly enhancing its efficiency;
• a radial bearing around the rotor shaft, wherein the axial unloading unit is located before the radial bearing of a rotor of the pump with respect to a discharge head of the pump;
• and
• a longitudinal channel, which connects a high-pressure zone at an exit for the rotor and the chamber of the axial unloading unit of the rotor shaft.
