Cooperative monitoring networks

A system comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one computer-readable storage medium coupled to the at least one processor having stored thereon instructions which, when executed by the at least one processor, causes the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
• selecting, from a plurality of monitoring systems that are each configured to monitor a respective premises of a plurality of premises, a subset of the plurality of monitoring systems for inclusion in a cooperative network configured to monitor a community including multiple premises of the plurality of premises;
• tracking events detected by the cooperative network over a duration of time using data obtained from the subset of the plurality of monitoring systems;
• and
• modifying the cooperative network using the tracked events, including adding one or more monitoring systems to the cooperative network or removing one or more monitoring systems from the cooperative network.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable media having stored thereon instructions, which, when executed by one or more computers, cause the one or more computers to perform operations of:

• selecting, from a plurality of monitoring systems that are each configured to monitor a respective premises of a plurality of premises, a subset of the plurality of monitoring systems for inclusion in a cooperative network configured to monitor a community including multiple premises of the plurality of premises;
• tracking events detected by the cooperative network over a duration of time using data obtained from the subset of the plurality of monitoring systems;
• and
• modifying the cooperative network using the tracked events, including adding one or more monitoring systems to the cooperative network or removing one or more monitoring systems from the cooperative network.
