Abstract
A developer roller having a first section that includes a first exterior surface, wherein the first exterior surface includes an electrically-conductive material; and a second section includes a second exterior surface, wherein the second exterior surface is non-electrically-conductive. The second section is axially aligned with the first section and provided at a first longitudinal end of the first section.

A developer roller comprising:
- a first section comprising a first exterior surface, wherein the first exterior surface comprises an electrically-conductive material and a non-electrically-conductive coating is provided on the first exterior surface comprising the electrically-conductive material;
- and
- a second section comprising a second exterior surface, wherein the second exterior surface is non-electrically-conductive,
- wherein the second section is axially aligned with the first section and provided at a first longitudinal end of the first section.

A roller for use in an electrostatic print apparatus, the roller comprising:
- an electrically-conductive section, wherein a non-electrically conductive layer is provided on an exterior surface of the electrically-conductive section;
- and
- a non-electrically conductive cap at a longitudinal end of the electrically conductive section.
