Abstract
A crossbow includes a stock defining a projectile axis, a drawstring configured to move along the projectile axis between an undrawn position and a drawn position, the undrawn position defining a first power stroke end, the drawn position defining a second power stroke end, and a scope rail mount including a first support and a second support, the first support coupled to the stock at a first mount location positioned rearward of the first power stroke end, the second support coupled with the stock at a second mount location positioned rearward of the first mount location and forward of the second power stroke end.
Claims19
A crossbow, comprising:
- a stock defining a projectile axis;
- a drawstring configured to move along the projectile axis between an undrawn position and a drawn position, the undrawn position defining a first power stroke end, the drawn position defining a second power stroke end;
- and
- a scope rail mount including a first support and a second support, the first support coupled to the stock at a first mount location positioned rearward of the first power stroke end, the second support coupled with the stock at a second mount location positioned rearward of the first mount location and forward of the second power stroke end.
A crossbow, comprising:
- a stock defining a front end, a rear end, a first side, a second side, and a projectile axis;
- a drawstring configured to move along a projectile flight path between an undrawn position and a drawn position;
- a limb, including:
- a fixed end coupled to the stock between the front end and the rear end;
- and
- a free end positioned between the front end and the rear end;
- and
- a scope rail mount including a first support and a second support, the first support coupled to the stock at a first mount location positioned (i) forward of at least one of the free end of the limb or the fixed end of the limb and (ii) rearward of the other of the free end of the limb or the fixed end of the limb, the second support coupled with the stock at a second mount location positioned rearward of the first mount location;
- wherein the scope rail mount is positioned rearward of at least a portion of the drawstring with the drawstring in the undrawn position;
- wherein the undrawn position of the drawstring defines a first power stroke end and the drawn position of the drawstring defines a second power stroke end, wherein the first mount location is positioned rearward of the first power stroke end and the second mount location is positioned forward of the second power stroke end.
A crossbow, comprising:
- a stock defining a front end, a rear end, a first side, a second side, and a projectile axis;
- a drawstring configured to move along a projectile flight path between an undrawn position and a drawn position;
- a limb, including:
- a fixed end coupled to the stock;
- and
- a free end positioned between the front end and the rear end;
- and
- a scope rail mount including a first support and a second support positioned rearward of at least a portion of the drawstring with the drawstring in the undrawn position, the first support coupled with the first side of the stock and the second support coupled with the second side of the stock such that the scope rail mount straddles the projectile axis, wherein the scope rail mount is positioned about 8 inches to about 18 inches from the rear end, and wherein the first support and the second support are positioned forward of at least one of the free end of the limb or the fixed end of the limb.
