Abstract
The present disclosure provides embodiments of a halogen-free flame retardant composition including one or more polyolefin copolymers having a melt flow index of 350 grams per 10 minutes (g/10 min) to 1000 g/10 min measured at 190 C and 2.16 kg, wherein the one or more polyolefin copolymers comprises maleic anhydride-grafted polyolefin, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, or both; and greater than 83 wt. % of inorganic fillers based on the total weight of the halogen-free flame retardant composition.
Claims16
A halogen-free flame retardant composition comprising:
- one or more polyolefin copolymers having a melt flow index of 350 grams per 10 minutes (g/10 min) to 1000 g/10 min measured at 190° C. and 2.16 kg, wherein the one or more polyolefin copolymers comprise a maleic anhydride-grafted polyolefin or a maleic anhydride-grafted polyolefin and an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer;
- and
- at least 83 wt % inorganic fillers based on a total weight of the halogen-free flame retardant composition;
- wherein the inorganic fillers comprise CaCO3.
