Abstract
The invention relates to compound of formula (I): in particular flavonoid derivatives (quercetin and catechin derivatives), for use in the prevention and/or the treatment of a disease or disorder involving both carbonyl and oxidative stresses.
Claims18
A method for preventing and/or treating a disease or disorder involving both carbonyl and oxidative stresses, comprising the administration to a subject in need thereof of a compound of formula (I):
- wherein
- R1 and R2 are each independently selected from the group consisting of H or (C1-C6)alkyl, provided that one of R1 or R2 is H and the other is not H,
- R3 is selected from the group consisting of —C(O)—(C11-C21)alkyl or —C(O)—(C11-C21)alkenyl,
- R4 to R8 are identical or different and are each independently selected from the group consisting of H, OH, O(C1-C6)alkyl, —C(O)—(C11-C21)alkyl or —C(O)—(C11-C21)alkenyl,
- X is selected from the group consisting of O, S, CH2 or NH,
- Y is oxo group,
- is a double bond,
- or its pharmaceutically acceptable salts, racemates, diastereoisomers, enantiomers or mixtures thereof.
A compound of formula (II):
- wherein
- R1 and R2 are different and are selected from the group consisting of H or (C1-C6) alkyl, and
- R3 is selected from the group consisting of —CO—(C11-C21)alkyl or —CO—(C11-C21)alkenyl.
