Claims35
A holder for storing a collectible, comprising:
- a first housing having a first wall and an outer wall, and wherein the outer wall comprises an outer wall exterior surface and an outer wall interior surface;
- a second housing having a second wall;
- the first housing connectable to the second housing so that the first wall, the second wall, and the outer wall define an enclosed space;
- a collectible receiving structure comprising a plurality of receiver walls disposed within the enclosed space and spaced from the outer wall, the collectible receiving structure defining a collectible receiving space sized and shaped to retain a displayable object therewithin;
- and
- a locking structure disposed within the enclosed space, the locking structure comprising a catch and a catch receiver and a triggered configuration in which the catch and the catch receiver are irreversibly engaged with one another at a location internally of the first wall, the second wall, and the outer wall.
A holder for storing a collectible, comprising:
- a first housing having a first wall and a second housing having a second wall, the first housing and the second housing being configured so that the first housing can be assembled with the second housing, and an enclosed space is defined within the assembled first and second housings, the enclosed space defined between the first wall, the second wall, and an outer wall extending between the first wall and the second wall;
- a collectible receiving structure having a plurality of receiver walls disposed within the enclosed space and defining a collectible receiving space sized and shaped to retain a displayable object therewithin;
- and
- a locking structure disposed internally of the first wall, the second wall, and an outer wall, the locking structure comprising a catch and a catch receiver configured to form an irreversible lock when in a triggered configuration;
- wherein access to the locking structure from outside the holder is blocked by one or more of the first wall, the second wall, and the outer wall.
A method of securing a collectible, comprising:
- placing a collectible into a receiving space defined by one or more receiver walls and placing a label indicia in a label space spaced from the collectible receiving space, the receiving space and the label space being enclosed by a first housing having a first wall, a second housing having a second wall, and an outer wall extending between the first wall and the second wall;
- assembling the first housing with the second housing by engaging a first locking structure with a second locking structure to form an irreversible lock;
- wherein one of the first and second locking structures comprises a catch and the other of the first and second locking structures comprises a catch receiver configured to receive the catch;
- and
- wherein access to the locking structure from outside the holder is blocked by one or more of the first wall, the second wall, and the outer wall.
A holder for storing a collectible, comprising:
- a first housing having a first wall and an outer wall, and wherein the outer wall comprises an outer wall exterior surface and an outer wall interior surface;
- a second housing having a second wall;
- the first housing connectable to the second housing so that the first wall, the second wall, and the outer wall define an enclosed space;
- a collectible receiving structure comprising a plurality of receiver walls disposed within the enclosed space and located inwardly of the outer wall, the collectible receiving structure defining a collectible receiving space sized and shaped to retain a displayable object therewithin;
- and
- a locking structure disposed within the enclosed space, the locking structure comprising a catch and a catch receiver and a triggered configuration in which the catch and the catch receiver are irreversibly engaged with one another at a location internally of the first wall, the second wall, and the outer wall.
