Abstract
Provided is a method for controlling a robot including a base, a robot arm coupled to the base, and a drive unit including a motor for driving the robot arm. The method includes a first step of acquiring weight information including information on a weight of an end effector installed on the robot arm and a weight of an object to be worked by the end effector, a second step of determining a frequency component to be removed from a drive signal for driving the motor based on the weight information acquired in the first step, and a third step of removing the frequency component determined in the second step from the drive signal to generate a correction drive signal.

A method for controlling a robot including a base, a first robot arm coupled to the base and rotating with respect to the base around a first axis, a second robot arm coupled to the first robot arm and rotating with respect to the first robot arm around a second axis, a third robot arm coupled to the second robot arm and moving along a third axis parallel to the first and second axes, a first drive unit including a first motor for rotating the second robot arm via a first drive signal, and a second drive unit including a second motor for moving the third robot arm via a second drive signal, the method for causing a processor to execute a program stored in a memory, the method comprising executing on the processor the steps of:
- acquiring weight information including information on a weight of an end effector installed on the third robot arm and a weight of an object to be worked by the end effector;
- acquiring a rotation angle of the second robot arm with respect to the first robot angle;
- acquiring a position, along the third axis, of a control point located at the end effector;
- determining first and second frequency components to be removed from the first and second drive signals, respectively, based on the weight information, the rotation angle, and the position of a of the control point;
- removing the first and second frequency components from the first and second drive signals to generate first and second correction drive signals, respectively;
- and
- supplying the first and second correction drive signals to the first and second motors to drive the second and third robot arms, respectively.
A robot system comprising:
- a base;
- a first robot arm coupled to the base and rotating with respect to the base around a first axis;
- a second robot arm coupled to the first robot arm and rotating with respect to the first robot arm around a second axis;
- a third robot arm coupled to the second robot arm and moving along a third axis parallel to the first and second axes;
- a first drive unit including a first motor for rotating the second robot arm via a first drive signal;
- a second drive unit including a second motor for moving the third robot arm via a second drive signal;
- a memory configured to store a program;
- and
- a processor configured to execute the program so as to:
- acquire weight information including information on a weight of an end effector installed on the third robot arm and a weight of an object to be worked by the end effector;
- acquire a rotation angle of the second robot arm with respect to the first robot angle;
- acquire a position, along the third axis, of a control point located at the end effector;
- determine first and second frequency components to be removed from the first and second drive signals, respectively, based on the weight information, the rotation angle, and the position of the control point;
- remove the first and second determined frequency components from the first and second drive signals to generate first and second correction drive signals, respectively;
- and
- supply the first and second correction drive signals to the first and second motors to drive the second and third robot arms, respectively.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program for controlling a robot including a base, a first robot arm coupled to the base and rotating with respect to the base around a first axis, a second robot arm coupled to the first robot arm and rotating with respect to the first robot arm around a second axis, a third robot arm coupled to the second robot arm and moving along a third axis parallel to the first and second axes, a first drive unit including a first motor for rotating the second robot arm via a first drive signal, and a second drive unit including a second motor for moving the third robot arm via a second drive signal, and for causing a computer to execute a process by a processor so as to perform the steps of:
- acquiring weight information including information on a weight of an end effector installed on the third robot arm and a weight of an object to be worked by the end effector;
- acquiring a rotation angle of the second robot arm with respect to the first robot angle;
- acquiring a position, along the third axis, of a control point located at the end effector;
- determining first and second frequency components to be removed from the first and second drive signals, respectively, based on the weight information, the rotation angle, and the position of the control point;
- removing the first and second frequency components from the first and second drive signals to generate first and second correction drive signals, respectively;
- and
- supplying the first and second correction drive signals to the first and second motors to drive the second and third robot arms, respectively.
