Abstract
Suggested is a synergistic antimicrobial mixture comprising a hydroxyacetophenone and one additional antimicrobial agent. The mixture is particular useful for fighting Aspergillus brasiliensis.
Claims12
An antimicrobial mixture comprising
- (a) 4-hydroxyacetophenone (4HAP), and
- (b) a second antimicrobial agent selected from the group consisting of 4-isopropyl-3-methylphenol, capryloyl glycine, ethyl lauroyl arginate HCl, and undecanoyl glycine, and in the following ratios by weight for each said second antimicrobial agent:
- 10:1 to 1:10 4HAP:
- 4-isopropyl-3-methylphenol,
- 5:1 to 1:5 4HAP:
- capryloyl glycine,
- 5:1 to 1:5 4HAP:
- ethyl lauroyl arginate HCl,
- and
- 2:1 to 1:2 4HAP:
- undecanoyl glycine.
