Abstract
A black metal fastener member can be manufactured at low cost. The fastener member comprises a base material made of a copper alloy containing zinc at a concentration of 30% by mass or more and 43% by mass or less, and a black copper oxide coating covering at least a part of the base material. The black copper oxide coating has a lower layer and an upper layer. The lower layer is a layer below a center line with respect to the thickness of the black copper oxide coating and the upper layer is a layer above the center line. The porosity of the lower layer is smaller than the porosity of the upper layer. In some cases, the difference between the porosity of the lower layer and the porosity of the upper layer is 10% or more.

A fastener member, comprising a base material having a shape of an element of a slide fastener, a slider of a slide fastener, a top stopper of a slide fastener, or a bottom stopper of a slide fastener, and made of a copper alloy containing zinc at a concentration of 30% by mass or more and 43% by mass or less, and a black copper oxide coating covering at least a part of the base material, wherein a porosity of a lower layer is smaller than a porosity of an upper layer, in which the lower layer is a layer below a center line with respect to a thickness of the black copper oxide coating, and the upper layer is a layer above the center line with respect to the thickness of the black copper oxide coating, and wherein a difference between the porosity of the lower layer and the porosity of the upper layer is 10% or more.
A snap fastener member, comprising a base material having a shape of the snap fastener member, and made of a copper alloy containing zinc at a concentration of 30% by mass or more and 43% by mass or less, and a black copper oxide coating covering at least a part of the base material, wherein a porosity of a lower layer is smaller than a porosity of an upper layer, in which the lower layer is a layer below a center line with respect to a thickness of the black copper oxide coating, and the upper layer is a layer above the center line with respect to the thickness of the black copper oxide coating, and wherein a difference between the porosity of the lower layer and the porosity of the upper layer is 10% or more.
