Abstract
A vaccine delivery method is presented that includes a composition including as one component a slurry matrix that is a liquid at room temperature and a gel at physiological pH, physiological salt concentrations and/or physiological temperatures and as a second component one or more antigens. Also included are methods of inducing an immune response in a subject and vaccinating a subject by administering such compositions.
Claims23
A vaccine composition comprising a peptide hydrogel of the peptide scaffold RADARADARADARADA (SEQ ID NO:2), an antigen, wherein the antigen is selected from a hepatitis antigen, a human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) antigen, or a tuberculosis antigen, and a TLR9 agonist, wherein the vaccine composition is a liquid at room temperature, non-physiological pH, and/or non-physiological salt concentrations and a gel at physiological pH, physiological salt concentrations and/or physiological temperatures.
A vaccine composition comprising a peptide hydrogel of the peptide scaffold RADARADARADARADA (SEQ ID NO:2) and an antigen, wherein the antigen is selected from an influenza antigen, a hepatitis antigen, a human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) antigen, or a tuberculosis antigen, wherein the vaccine composition is a liquid at room temperature, non-physiological pH, and/or non-physiological salt concentrations and a gel at physiological pH, physiological salt concentrations and/or physiological temperatures, and wherein the vaccine composition gels after administration to a subject.
A vaccine composition comprising a peptide hydrogel of the peptide scaffold RADARADARADARADA (SEQ ID NO:2), an antigen, and a Toll-Like Receptor (TLR) agonist, wherein the antigen is selected from an influenza antigen, a hepatitis antigen, a human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) antigen, or a tuberculosis antigen, wherein the vaccine composition is a liquid at room temperature, non-physiological pH, and/or non-physiological salt concentrations and a gel at physiological pH, physiological salt concentrations and/or physiological temperatures, and wherein the vaccine composition gels after administration to a subject.
