## Abstract

Provided are wireless communication devices and methods. A wireless communication device can comprise: circuitry operative to map at least a first type of reference signals (RSs) onto orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol(s) other than the OFDM symbols onto which shortened transmission time intervals (TTIs) are mapped in a subframe, each of the shortened TTIs comprising 1-7 OFDM symbols; and a transmitter operative to transmit a physical channel in one of the shortened TTIs and transmit at least the first type of RSs.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An integrated circuit comprising:
reception circuitry, which, in operation, controls receiving data mapped to at least one symbol in 14 consecutive symbols, which are comprised of at least a first shortened transmission time interval (TTI), a second shortened TTI, a third shortened TTI, a fourth shortened TTI and a fifth shortened TTI,
wherein the first shortened TTI, the second shortened TTI and the third shortened TTI have resources used for a reference signal (RS), and the fourth shortened TTI and the fifth shortened TTI have no resource used for the RS; and
demodulation circuitry, which, in operation, controls demodulating at least the data,
wherein the resources used for the RS of the first shortened TTI, the second shortened TTI and the third shortened TTI are non-consecutive in symbols of the 14 consecutive symbols,
wherein a first number of shortened TTIs having no RS between the first shortened TTI and the second shortened TTI is different from a second number of shortened TTIs having no RS between the second shortened TTI and the third shortened TTI, and
wherein a difference between the first number and the second number is one.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The integrated circuit according to claim 1, wherein the RS is mapped on a symbol and is used for some or all of a plurality of shortened TTIs.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The integrated circuit according to claim 1, wherein the resources used for the RS are indicated by downlink control information (DCI).

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The integrated circuit according to claim 1, wherein RS port numbers of the first shortened TTI, the second shortened TTI, and the third shortened TTI are indicated by Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The integrated circuit according to claim 1, wherein the second shortened TTI is between the fourth shortened TTI and the fifth shortened TTI.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The integrated circuit according to claim 1, wherein no RS is between the first shortened TTI and the second shortened TTI.
