Leafless joint system that pivots and slides

An apparatus, comprising:

• an attachment mechanism configured to removably attach a first element to a second element, the attachment mechanism comprising:
• a track structure that is coupled to the first element;
• and
• a pintel, coupled to the second element, configured to interface with the track structure;
• and wherein the attachment mechanism is configured to:
• perform a pivoting procedure in which the second element pivots, relative to the first element, about an axis through the pintel;
• and
• perform a detachment procedure in which the second element detaches from the first element.

An apparatus, comprising:

• an attachment mechanism configured to interface a first element to a second element, the attachment mechanism comprising:
• a track structure that is coupled to the first element;
• and
• a pintel, coupled to the second element, configured to interface with the track structure;
• and wherein the attachment mechanism is configured to:
• perform a pivoting operation in which the second element pivots, relative to the first element, about an axis through the pintel;
• and
• perform a sliding operation in which the second element slides, relative to the first element, in a direction of the track structure.
