Fuel verification system with intrusion of fluid detection

A method of monitoring a fuel delivery system including at least one dispenser configured to receive fuel from at least one fuel storage tank, the method comprising:

• positioning at least one sensor to detect intrusion of fluid within an interior of the at least one dispenser;
• positioning at least one imaging apparatus to capture at least one image of the interior;
• capturing the at least one image with the at least one imaging apparatus in response to at least one of (1) the at least one sensor detecting intrusion of fluid and/or (2) expiration of a time period;
• sending the at least one image to a remote device located remote from the at least one dispenser;
• and
• providing, by the remote device, an indication in response to the at least one sensor detecting intrusion of fluid.

A system for monitoring a status of a fuel dispenser, comprising:

• at least one sensor positioned to detect intrusion of fluid within an interior of the fuel dispenser;
• at least one imaging apparatus positioned to capture at least one image of the interior of the fuel dispenser;
• and
• a remote device located remote from the fuel dispenser;
• wherein the at least one imaging apparatus is activated to capture the at least one image by the at least one sensor detecting intrusion of fluid;
• and
• wherein the remote device is configured to receive the at least one image and to provide an indication in response to the at least one sensor detecting intrusion of fluid.
