Abstract
A server is connected to a first printing service system and a second printing service system that is connected to an image processing device. The server includes an acquisition unit configured to acquire a job state of printing processing executed by the image processing device from the second printing service system, and a transmission unit configured to transmit the job state to the first printing service system when the job state is acquired from the second printing service system.

A relay server of a printing system that includes a client terminal device, the relay server connected to a first printing service system and a second printing service system with the client terminal device being connected to the first printing service system, the second printing service system being connected to an image processing device and configured to provide a print job to the image processing device, the image processing device being incompatible with a protocol used by the first printing service system, the image processing device being registered with the first printing service system as a virtual device under a control of the relay server, the relay server comprising:
- an acquisition unit configured to acquire a job state of printing processing executed by the image processing device from the second printing service system;
- and
- a transmission unit configured to transmit the job state to the first printing service system when the job state is acquired from the second printing service system to allow the first printing service system, which is incompatible with the image processing device without an association provided by the relay server, to provide the job state to the client terminal device.
A printing system comprising:
- a first printing service system;
- an image processing device;
- a second printing service system connected to the image processing device and configured to provide a print job to the image processing device;
- a client terminal device;
- and
- a relay server connected to the first printing service system and the second printing service system with the client terminal device being connected to the first printing service system, the image processing device being incompatible with a protocol used by the first printing service system, the image processing device being registered with the first printing service system as a virtual device under a control of the relay server, wherein the relay server includes an acquisition unit configured to acquire a job state of printing processing executed by the image processing device from the second printing service system and
- a transmission unit configured to transmit the job state to the first printing service system when the job state is acquired from the second printing service system to allow the first printing service system, which is incompatible with the image processing device without an association provided by the relay server, to provide the job state to the client terminal device.
An information processing method for a relay server of a printing system that includes a client terminal device, the relay server being connected to a first printing service system and a second printing service system with the client terminal device being connected to the first printing service system, the second printing service system being connected to an image processing device and configured to provide a print job to the image processing device, the image processing device being incompatible with a protocol used by the first printing service system, the image processing device being registered with the first printing service system as a virtual device under a control of the relay server, the information processing method comprising:
- acquiring a job state of printing processing executed by the image processing device from the second printing service system;
- and
- transmitting the job state to the first printing service system when the job state is acquired from the second printing service system to allow the first printing service system, which is incompatible with the image processing device without an association provided by the relay server, to provide the job state to the client terminal device.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program, the program causing a computer to execute following steps, the computer being a computer of a relay server of a printing system that includes a client terminal device, the relay server being connected to a first printing service system and a second printing service system with the client terminal device being connected to the first printing service system, the second printing service system being connected to an image processing device and configured to provide a print job to the image processing device, the image processing device being incompatible with a protocol used by the first printing service system, and the image processing device being registered with the first printing service system as a virtual device under a control of the relay server, the steps comprising:
- an acquisition step of acquiring a job state of printing processing executed by the image processing device from the second printing service system;
- and
- a transmission step of transmitting the job state to the first printing service system when the job state is acquired from the second printing service system to allow the first printing service system, which is incompatible with the image processing device without an association provided by the relay server, to provide the job state to the client terminal device.
