Suspension assembly for supporting a vibration sensitive device

A weapon suspension assembly (10, 10a, 10b) for supporting a vibration sensitive device (1) in relation to a base (100) during transportation thereof, the weapon suspension assembly (10, 10a, 10b) comprising:

• a support arrangement (20) comprising a support plate (21) integrated with a damping support member (22), the damping support member (22) being configured to receive the vibration sensitive device (1) and the support plate (21) comprising a centre portion (23) and at least two side portions (24) extending with an inclination angle (a) outwardly from the centre portion (23);
• a base arrangement (30) comprising at least two inclined portions (34) extending essentially in parallel with the at least two side portions (24) of the support plate (21);
• and
• at least two wire rope isolators (40), each arranged between a side portion (24) of the support plate (21) and an inclined portion (34) of the base arrangement (30),
• wherein:
• the weapon suspension assembly (10, 10a, 10b) is configured to be arranged on or inside a vehicle during the transportation thereof,
• the damping support member (22) comprises viscoelastic material and a recess for receiving the vibration sensitive device, and
• the support plate (21) is integrated within the damping support member (22) such that the support plate (21) acts as reinforcement of the surrounding damping support member (22).
