Metal clad laminate and production method thereof

A metal clad laminate at least comprising a thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer film and a metallic foil bonded to each other, and further comprising a metal vapor deposition layer on a surface of the thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer film opposite to the metallic foil, wherein

• the thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer film is capable of forming an optically anisotropic melt phase and has a surface with a glossiness (20°) of 55 or higher in accordance with JIS Z 8741 on a side of the liquid crystal polymer film opposite to the metallic foil;
• the metallic foil has a ten-point average roughness Rz of from 0.1 μm to 2.0 μm on a surface of the metallic foil in contact with the liquid crystal polymer film;
• and
• the metal deposition layer has a thickness of from 0.05 μm to 1.0 μm.
