Self-climbing system with drive via a circulating drive means and method for operating a self- climbing system

A self-climbing system, comprising:

• at least two climbing shoes configured to attach to and/or on a hardened concreting section;
• at least one climbing rail attached to the at least two climbing shoes;
• an actuator arranged along the at least one climbing rail;
• and
• a circumferential drive mechanism disposed along the at least one climbing rail, at least over a length section of the at least one climbing rail, the drive mechanism being movable with respect to the at least one climbing rail by means of the actuator and configured to be blocked or unblocked with respect to the at least one climbing rail in the domain of one or more of the two climbing shoes and/or in one or more of the climbing shoes by means of at least one fixing device for the drive mechanism,
• wherein, when the drive mechanism is fixed relative to one of the two climbing shoes of the self-climbing system, a movement of the drive mechanism in a longitudinal direction relative to the one climbing shoe is prevented and the drive mechanism remains movable with respect to the at least one climbing rail while it is in its fixed condition relative to the one climbing shoe,
• wherein the self-climbing system climbs continuously and without interruption.
