Wall mounting apparatus

A wall mounting apparatus comprising:

• a wall-mountable assembly comprising:
• an article formed from a brittle material and comprising a rear surface having a recess defined by a floor and a sidewall that extends from the floor to the rear surface;
• a mounting component formed from a metal or a plastic and comprising a front surface having a mounting channel, a rear surface, and a peripheral surface extending between the front and rear surfaces, wherein the mounting component is positioned within the recess of the article so that the rear surface of the mounting component abuts the floor of the recess of the article and a gap exists between the peripheral surface of the mounting component and the sidewall of the recess of the article;
• and
• a bonding agent disposed within the gap and bonded to at least one of the peripheral surface of the mounting component and the sidewall of the recess of the article to fixedly couple the mounting component to the article;
• a mounting bracket configured to be mounted to a wall;
• and
• wherein the wall-mountable assembly is mounted to the mounting bracket via sliding engagement between the mounting component and the mounting bracket while the mounting bracket is at least partially located within the mounting channel of the mounting component.
