- wrapping, after pulling the hair through the hair accessory, the pulled-through hair around the arc;
- and
- stretching, after wrapping the pulled-through hair around the arc, at least a portion of the scrunchie around the arc such that the scrunchie lies near a surface of a head of the user and the arc is disposed in a plane that extends away from the surface of the head of the user.
A method of maintaining styled hair, the method comprising:
- pulling the styled hair through a hair accessory, the hair accessory comprising (1) a scrunchie including a fabric and an elastic encased in the fabric and (2) an arc having a first end and a second end, the first end of the arc and the second end of the arc coupled to the scrunchie;
- and
- concentrically wrapping the pulled-through hair only around the arc;
- and
- securing the hair accessory using the scrunchie after wrapping the pulled-through hair only around the arc by wrapping at least a portion of the scrunchie around the arc such that the scrunchie is disposed near the first and second ends of the arc with the arc extending in a plane away from the scrunchie.
