Abstract
The present invention aims to provide rubber compositions and tires which provide improved overall performance in terms of wet grip performance and dry grip performance. The present invention relates to a rubber composition having a dynamic modulus E* that reversibly changes with water and satisfying the following relationship (1): Dynamic modulus E*when water-wet/Dynamic modulus E*when dry×100%≤90% (1).
Claims14
A tire, comprising a tire component at least partially comprising a rubber composition, comprising:
- a rubber component,
- the rubber composition having a dynamic modulus E* that reversibly changes with water and satisfying the following relationship (1):
- Dynamic modulus E*when water-wet/Dynamic modulus E*when dry×100%≤90% and ≥70% (1),
- wherein the rubber composition has a styrene-butadiene rubber content of 60% to 95% by mass based on 100% by mass of the rubber component, and
- wherein the rubber composition comprises silica.
