• the image pickup apparatus comprising:
• a first display part;
• a second display part;
• an eye approach detection part configured to detect user's eye approach which means that a user looks into the second display part and the user's eye approaches the second display part;
• a sound collecting member configured to collect and record a voice of the user;
• and
• a start member operable by the user to start and execute voice recording by the sound collecting member, and
• the control method comprising:
• determining a display destination of image data according to a detection result of the eye approach detection part;
• performing synthesis processing of adding voice data recorded by the sound collecting member to the image data;
• and
• in a case where user's eye approach is detected by the eye approach detection part and the image data is displayed on the second display part, when the voice recording is started by the user operation on the start member, performing first sound collecting sensitivity adjustment processing of adjusting a sound collecting sensitivity of the sound collecting member.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program for causing a computer to execute a control method for controlling an image pickup apparatus, wherein the image pickup apparatus comprises a first display part, a second display part, an eye approach detection part configured to detect user's eye approach which means that a user looks into the second display part and the user's eye approaches the second display part, a sound collecting member configured to collect and record a voice of the user, and a start member operable by the user to start and execute voice recording by the sound collecting member,

• the control method comprising:
• determining a display destination of image data according to a detection result of the eye approach detection part;
• performing synthesis processing of adding voice data recorded by the sound collecting member to the image data;
• and
• in a case where user's eye approach is detected by the eye approach detection part and the image data is displayed on the second display part, when the voice recording is started by the user operation on the start member, performing first sound collecting sensitivity adjustment processing of adjusting a sound collecting sensitivity of the sound collecting member.
