Arithmetic apparatus and multiply-accumulate system

A multiply-accumulate system, comprising:

• a plurality of input line pairs into each of which a signal pair corresponding to an input value is input within an input period;
• a plurality of analog circuits each including a plurality of multiplication units that is respectively connected to at least some of the plurality of input line pairs and is configured for generating each of a positive weight charge corresponding to a positive weight product value obtained by multiplying a signal value of one signal of the signal pair input into a corresponding input line pair to which a corresponding multiplication unit is connected by a positive weight value and a negative weight charge corresponding to a negative weight product value obtained by multiplying a signal value of another signal by a negative weight value,
• an accumulation unit configured for accumulating the positive weight charge and the negative weight charge which are generated by each of the plurality of multiplication units,
• a charging unit that charges the accumulation unit in which a charge corresponding to a corresponding product value is accumulated after the input period, and
• an output unit that performs, after charging by the charging unit starts, threshold determination using a predetermined threshold value on a voltage retained by the accumulation unit, to thereby output a positive multiply-accumulate signal representing a sum of the positive weight product values and a negative multiply-accumulate signal representing a sum of the negative weight product values;
• and
• a network circuit configured by connecting the plurality of analog circuits, wherein
• in the plurality of analog circuits, charging by the charging unit is performed on a common charging mode and a common threshold value is set as the predetermined threshold value.

An arithmetic apparatus, comprising:

• a plurality of input line pairs into each of which a signal pair corresponding to an input value is input within an input period;
• and
• a multiply-accumulate device including a plurality of multiplication circuits, an accumulation circuit, a charging circuit and an output circuit, wherein
• the plurality of multiplication circuits are respectively connected to at least some of the plurality of input line pairs and are configured to generate each of a positive weight charge corresponding to a positive weight product value obtained by multiplying a signal value of one signal of a corresponding signal pair input into a corresponding input line pair to which a corresponding multiplication circuit is connected by a positive weight value and a negative weight charge corresponding to a negative weight product value obtained by multiplying a signal value of another signal by a negative weight value,
• the accumulation circuit is configured to accumulate the positive weight charge and the negative weight charge which are generated by each of the plurality of multiplication circuits,
• the charging circuit is configured to charge the accumulation circuit in which a charge corresponding to a corresponding product value is accumulated after the input period,
• the output circuit is configured to perform, after charging by the charging circuit starts, threshold determination using a predetermined threshold value on a voltage retained by the accumulation circuit, to thereby output a positive multiply-accumulate signal representing a sum of the positive weight product values and a negative multiply-accumulate signal representing a sum of the negative weight product values, and
• in the multiply-accumulate device, charging by the charging circuit is performed on a common charging mode and a common threshold value is set as the predetermined threshold value.
