A lubricating composition including an oil of lubricating viscosity and a benzazepine compound. Methods of using such lubricating compositions are also disclosed.
Claims14
A lubricating composition comprising an oil of lubricating viscosity and a benzazepine compound, wherein the benzazepine compound comprises a dibenzazepine compound represented by at least one of the following general formulae IIA or IIB:
- wherein R1, R2 and R3 are each independently hydrogen or a hydrocarbyl group of 1 to 24 carbon atoms;
- each X is independently O, S, or NR4;
- and R4 is hydrogen or a hydrocarbyl group of 1 to 18 carbon atoms.
