Abstract
A dielectric material is provided. The dielectric material includes at least one layer of a substantially continuous phase material. The material is selected from the group consisting of an organic, organometallic, or combination thereof in which the substantially continuous phase material has delocalized electrons.
Claims5
An energy storage device comprising:
- at least two semiconductor layers disposed opposite of each other, wherein at least one semiconductor layer comprises organic molecules with delocalized electrons complexed to a metal, and wherein the organic molecules are stacked to form crystalline particles, and wherein the particles are semiconductive and are substantially electrically interconnected;
- and
- an inner layer disposed between the at least two semiconductor layers, wherein the inner layer is a semiconductor;
- a first electrode electrically connected to a first side of the first semiconductor layer;
- and
- a second electrode electrically connected to the second semiconductor layer.
