• 18b) arranged coaxially to the upshift assembly (28a;

• a layshaft (20a;
• 20b) arranged parallel to the main shaft (18a;
• 18b);
• a first shift unit (S1a;
• S1b);
• a first idler gear (44a;
• 44b) which is arranged coaxially to the main shaft (18a;
• 18b) and axially between the upshift assembly (28a;
• 28b) and the downshift assembly (56a;
• 56b) and which is connectable to the main shaft (18a;
• 18b) for conjoint rotation by the first shift unit (S1a;
• S1b);
• and
• a second shift unit (S2a;
• S2b), wherein the first idler gear (44a;
• 44b) is connectable to the third transmission element (P23a;
• P23b) of the downshift assembly (56a;
• 56b) for conjoint rotation by the second shift unit (S2a;
• S2b).
