Abstract
The present disclosure provides a modified allyl compound, and a modified bismaleimide prepolymer. The modified allyl compound is represented by formula (1), has a cyclopentadiene structure represented by formula (2), and contains a benzene ring or a benzene ring substituted with a linear alkane of lower polarity.

A modified allyl compound represented by formula (1):
- wherein R1 is represented by formula (2):
- R3 is absent or is selected from a bicycloheptyl group and a group obtained by condensation of two or more bicycloheptyl groups:
- * indicates an attachment site;
- R2 at each occurrence is independently selected from H and a linear alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms;
- n1 at each occurrence is independently selected from any integer from 1 to 4.
