Abstract
A mattress assembly includes a chassis having top and bottom walls and first and second sidewalls that each extend from the top wall to the bottom wall. Inner surfaces of the walls and the sidewalls define an interior cavity. The top and bottom walls each include a first section that is connected to the first sidewall and a second section that is connected to the second sidewall such that the first sections are pivotable relative to the first sidewall and the second sections are pivotable relative to the second sidewall. The first section of the top wall is pivotable relative to the second section of the top wall and the first section of the bottom wall is pivotable relative to the second section of the bottom wall. A spring assembly is configured to be positioned within the interior cavity.
Claims19
A bedding system comprising:
- a chassis comprising a base layer, opposite first and second side walls and opposite first and second end walls each extending from the first side wall to the second side wall, the walls each being permanently joined with the base layer to define a cavity, the walls being movable relative to the base layer and one another;
- a cover covering outer surfaces of the walls;
- a spring pack positioned in the cavity;
- a topper positioned over the spring pack;
- and
- an outer layer positioned over the topper, the outer layer being attached to the cover.
A bedding system comprising:
- a chassis comprising a base layer, opposite first and second side walls and opposite first and second end walls each extending from the first side wall to the second side wall, the walls each extending upwardly from the base layer, the walls each being permanently joined with the base layer, the base layer and the walls defining a cavity, the walls being movable relative to the base layer and one another;
- a cover covering outer surfaces of the walls;
- a spring pack positioned in the cavity;
- a topper positioned over the spring pack;
- and
- an outer layer positioned over the topper, the outer layer being removably attached to the cover by a fastener.
A bedding system comprising:
- a chassis comprising a base layer, opposite first and second side walls and opposite first and second end walls each extending from the first side wall to the second side wall, the walls each being permanently joined with the base layer to define a cavity, the first side wall comprising a first end extending to the first end wall and an opposite second end extending to the second end wall, the second end being movable relative to the first end;
- a cover covering outer surfaces of the walls;
- a spring pack positioned in the cavity;
- a topper positioned over the spring pack;
- and
- an outer layer positioned over the topper, the outer layer being attached to the cover.
