Abstract
A system and a method for liquefied fuel storage are provided. The system includes a first module including a first outer vessel wall and a cryotank, a second module including a second outer vessel wall and a submerged pump at partially inside the second outer vessel wall, and a third module including a third outer vessel wall. The first, the second, and the third outer vessel walls are connected to provide an enclosure as an outer vessel.
Claims20
A system, comprising:
- a first module, the first module comprising a first outer vessel wall and a cryotank, the cryotank disposed inside the first outer vessel wall, coupled with the first outer vessel wall, and configured to store a liquefied fuel therein;
- a second module, the second module comprising a second outer vessel wall and at least one pump at least partially disposed inside the second outer vessel wall, the at least one pump fluidly coupled with the cryotank and configured to accept a first stream of the liquefied fuel from the cryotank, compress the first stream of the liquefied fuel to an increased pressure, and pump it out as a second stream of the liquefied fuel;
- and
- a third module comprising a third outer vessel wall,
- wherein the first, the second, and the third outer vessel walls are connected to provide an enclosure as an integrated outer vessel.
