Wiping device for a detection system

A detection system for a vehicle, comprising a sensor and a wiping device, the wiping device including a wiper blade, a wiper arm, a motor unit and a drive unit, the drive unit including a guidance block which carries the wiper arm, and which is inserted in and extending through opposite sides of a C-shaped guidance frame, the drive unit further including a plurality of belt wheels, at least one drive belt wheel is driven in a rotational motion by the motor unit, wherein the drive unit includes a belt which is driven by the belt wheels and moves the guidance block according to a rectilinear motion.
