A coronal-only dental restoration system for a full-arch dental replacement, comprising:
- a coronal-only dental restoration device, comprising:
- a body formed by a plurality of integrally formed teeth portions extending a gingival side and an occlusal/incisal side, wherein the body includes a body sidewall formed by the integrally formed tooth portions extending transversely between the gingival side and the occlusal/incisal side, the body sidewall extending continuously around an entire circumference of the body and having lingual/palatal, distal, mesial, and buccal/labial portions defining the entire circumference of the body, wherein the body is free from artificial gingiva and artificial teeth root portions;
- the plurality of integrally formed teeth portions defining the body, the plurality of integrally formed teeth portions corresponding in number to a number of post-extraction tooth sockets of an entire maxillary or mandibular arch of a patient, each tooth portion of the plurality of integrally formed teeth portions having a tooth axis extending buccally/labially between the gingival side and the occlusal/incisal side, the integrally formed teeth portions including:
- first, second, third, and fourth abutment-receiving teeth portions having first, second, third, and fourth abutment holes, respectively, each abutment hole extending entirely though the corresponding tooth portion from the gingival side to the occlusal/incisal side of the body to define a gingival opening and an incisal/occlusal opening, respectively, wherein each abutment hole includes longitudinal axis that is substantially coaxially aligned with the tooth axis or the corms ponding tooth portion and the tooth socket axis of the corresponding post-extraction tooth socket to which the tooth portion is configured to engage;
- first and second non-abutment-receiving teeth portions located adjacent to the rust abutment-receiving tooth r third and fourth non-abutment-receiving teeth portion located adjacent to the second abutment-receiving tooth portion fifth and sixth non-abutment-receiving teeth portions located adjacent to the third teeth portions located adjacent to the fourth abutment-receiving tooth portion;
- an ovate pontic portion defined on each tooth portion of the plurality of integrally formed teeth portions on the gingival side of the body, the ovate pontic portion of each tooth portion of the plurality of integrally formed teeth portions substantially conforming in shape to a corresponding post-extraction tooth socket defined by keratinied gingiva covered interdental and interseptal bone of the patient after a tooth is extracted, wherein the ovate pontic configured to seal against an entire circumference of the keratinized gingiva when the ovate pontic portion is engaged with the corresponding post-extraction tooth socket;
- wherein the ovate pontic portion defined on each non-abutment-receiving tooth portion the plurality of integrally formed teeth portions extends continuously between lingual/palatal distal, mesial, and buccal/labial portions of the body sidewall to define an ovate pontic portion surface having an ovate pontic contour that extends across the entire gingival side of the body;
- wherein the ovate pontic portion defined on each abutment-receiving tooth portion of the plurality of integrally formed teeth portions extends continuously around the corresponding abutments hole and intersects the lingual/palatal distal, mesial, and buccal/labial portions of the body sidewall, and
- first, second, third, and fourth straight implants adapted to be secured within rust, second, third, and fourth post-extraction tooth sockets, respectively, each straight implant having an implant axis that is substantially coaxially aligned with a tooth socket axis of the corresponding post-extraction tooth socket when it is received within the corresponding post-extraction tooth socket and having a threaded opening for receiving an abutment screw with a thread axis extending substantially along the implant axis, wherein a threaded body of each of the straight implants is adapted to be located within the newly ossifying bone of a corresponding post-extraction root socket, and a collar of each of the straight implants is adapted to be located generally above the newly ossifying bone of the corresponding post-extraction socket;
- and
- first, second, third, and fourth abutments received within the first, second, third, and fourth abutment holes, respectively, the first, second, third, and fourth abutments having an abutment axis that is substantially coaxially aligned with the abutment hole axis of the first, second, third, and fourth abutment holes, respectively, the first, second, third, and fourth abutments securable to the first, second, third, and fourth straight implants, respectively, by passing an abutment screw through each abutment substantially among the abutment axis and threadably securing the abutment screw within the threaded opening of the corresponding straight implant, wherein upon securing each of the abutments to the corresponding straight implants with the abutment axis substantially aligned with the abutment hole axis, the tooth portion axis, the implant axis, and the tooth socket axis of the corresponding post-extraction tooth socket to which the tooth portion is configured to engage, the ovate pontic portion of the dental restoration device body is configured to seal against the keratinized gingiva of the corresponding post-extraction tooth socket.
